This installment of The Observer will examine the concept of the Great Separation. No doubt many will find the thoughts contained in this article controversial and disturbing. Nevertheless, it is important to address this topic in a straightforward manner because the events that will comprise the Great Separation are near. By coming to understand the cause of these future events, those with “eyes to see and ears to hear” will be enabled to bring themselves into harmony with the teachings of Manisis, and thereby gain protection and survive the coming tribulations. Not only that, these survivors will have an opportunity to participate in the exciting times that will follow the Great Separation.

What is the Great Separation? The events that comprise the Great Separation are described symbolically in the Bible as the battle of Armageddon. These same events are also described in a more straightforward manner in the third phase of George Washington’s Prophecy. Finally, these events are described bluntly and without any guise in the book, The Manisis Chronicles. According to these prophesies, the combined forces of the Old World will unite and invade the United States in an attempt to destroy it. This will occur when countries around the world that America has been trying to stabilize and protect will suddenly join forces with more powerful countries traditionally opposed to the United States. It has been further prophesied that after much destruction and America is well neigh overcome, the Celestial Order above will intervene at the eleventh hour and save America by initiating earth changes that will destroy much of the Old World. Cut off from their native lands, the invading forces will be overcome by the remnant of surviving Americans. Although the loss of life will be horrendous, the remaining survivors in America and abroad and their progeny will have a unique and wonderful opportunity to bring about sweeping changes for the better at every level of earthly endeavor. These too will have an opportunity to live during a time of unparalleled peace and prosperity that will endure for a thousand years or more.

The celestial plan for America, and eventually the entire world, is for mankind to create a literal heaven on earth. The Creator intends for all men and women to be free and to live in brotherhood. He intends for us to love each other, treat each other with respect, help each other, and most importantly, to grow spiritually. This is not the way of the world now, and in order for the world to ever reach such a lofty state, it is necessary to remove the so-called “chaff” for a time and permit the “wheat” to work toward this end, unhindered. The chaff will be held back from reincarnating for a thousand years or more, giving the wheat sufficient time to rebuild after the devastation and shape the world into a better place. After sufficient time has passed to give the wheat enough of a “head start,” the chaff will be allowed to reincarnate in what will be a far better world. It is hoped that when the chaff is reborn into this positive environment, they will abandon their former ways and embrace that which is good.

Currently, the world is moving ever closer to the terrible events of the Great Separation. Knowing the outcome in advance, it is easy to examine current events and see how matters are progressing steadily toward this great conflict. The terrorist attacks on America, the resulting global War on Terrorism, the loss of support from traditional allies, the growing enmity from abroad concerning American’s interventionist foreign policy, the growing strength of powerful adversaries such as China, and the diffusion of American military force abroad, are all steps toward the culmination of the prophecies.

Some may question the practicality of an invasion of America in the nuclear age. Notwithstanding the recent terrorist attacks on American soil, these argue that no foreign invader would dare come to America for fear of nuclear retaliation against the homeland. This is similar to the concept of “MAD” or Mutually Assured Destruction. Popular during the Cold War, under this theory neither America nor the Soviet Union would initiate a nuclear attack upon the other for fear that the inevitable counter strike would result in mutual oblivion.

Those that take comfort in America’s military might should think again. The Celestial Beings can easily bring leaders to power and manipulate them so as to serve divine purposes. Americans need look no further than the Cuban Missile Crisis for an example of how two nuclear powers can come to the brink of war. During the crisis, many of President Kennedy’s advisers urged an attack on Russian nuclear sites in Cuba, believing that the nuclear weapons placed there were not yet operational. In fact, it was later learned that some nuclear weapons were operational. Much to his credit, and no doubt aided by the Celestials, President Kennedy resisted the advice of his more hawkish advisers, negotiated a settlement, and saved the United States from the disaster such an attack may have brought about. Fortunately, the Celestials desired a positive outcome in that case. With respect to the Great Separation, however, the Celestials will be working toward bringing about the final battle, so as to prepare the way for a better world. Who then can say with any confidence that America’s current military prowess will render it invulnerable to attack? “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.” 1 Corinthians 10:12.

Terrorism and natural disaster must also be taken into consideration when discussing the feasibility of an invasion of America. With respect to terrorism, consider a scenario in which terrorists, supplied with weapons of mass destruction, smuggle them onto American soil. The resulting Katrina-like chaos, perhaps on a national scale, would tempt many of America’s enemies to try that which was formerly considered impossible. Brought to its knees, there are many that would take steps to ensure that America would not get up again. The same scenario would apply with equal force if America were sufficiently debilitated by widespread natural disasters, such as earthquakes.

While some take a false sense of security in America’s military power, others believe that a final battle is imminent. These people, mostly members of fundamentalist religions, believe in various scenarios (the coming of a messiah, the second coming of Christ, the Rapture, etc.) in which their individual sects will be protected from the coming destruction. Manisis taught something far different. According to Manisis, protection can be earned only by following divine law, which entails behaving morally and taking personal responsibility for one’s own actions. Membership in any one sect in and of itself will not provide protection. Indeed, even a professed belief in the teachings of Manisis will be insufficient. In the final analysis, those people that are on balance more good than evil will survive, because these are the people that God and the Celestials will need to build a heaven on earth. Because such people can still be found in every walk of life, people from all sects will survive. In other words, it is not what people say or believe that will save them. It is what they do. This teaching of Manisis is a radical departure from mainstream religious thought, as most religions tend to preach that their followers will be saved, while all non-believers will be doomed. This self serving belief tends to empower sect leaders and make their followers feel special, but in fact, God has little interest in an individual’s religious affiliation. “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” James 2:26.

So when will all this happen? It is difficult to watch the evening news and not wonder how a just Creator could permit so much evil to go on in the world, such is the level of greed, selfishness, and cruelty today. Despite this, there are many good people living right now, and the Creator is giving time to those who can change themselves from the chaff to the wheat to earn protection during the coming trials. This time is described in Matthew thus:

Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?

He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them into bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. Matthew 13:24-30.

Manisis did not name a specific date for the Great Separation, nor could he, because the maturation of the wheat and the chaff is a process by and large based on individuals who have free will. These verses of Matthew do provide some insight, however, into the date of the Great Separation. The Great Separation will happen at the time of the “harvest,” when the wheat and the chaff have matured. Division, therefore, will be the great indicator as to time. This division need not involve two warring factions of good and evil, as the chaff in many instances will come into conflict with other chaff. The important division is between those that follow divine law and practice personal responsibility, and those that do not. Looking at the world in this manner, there can be little dispute that the time is very near.

It must not be forgotten that everyone living during these challenging times is being given a great opportunity. Those that become the wheat will not only receive divine protection during the coming battles, but they will earn an opportunity to make great contributions to the world in the days following, much as did the founding fathers following the American Revolution. Moreover, in future incarnations, in the interim before the chaff are allowed to return, the wheat will have even more opportunities to make contributions. The coming age has been aptly described as a “New Renaissance” and everyone permitted to participate will have an unparalleled opportunity to contribute in virtually every area of human endeavor.

We often hear politicians talk glibly about “the children” and our responsibility to future generations. While this is certainly a noble sentiment, do not forget that each and every one of us has an opportunity to become a part of the New Renaissance, not only for the remainder of our present lives, but for those to come. For those that feel like cogs in a wheel, held down by circumstances, unable to accomplish the things that they really want to do in life, living in the New Renaissance will be refreshing and exciting. The surviving wheat will be given every opportunity to make great contributions in any area they have an interest. Moreover, the wheat will have an opportunity to work along side many past masters of art, science, religion, and all other disciplines, who will reincarnate during this time because the environment will be so favorable to their pursuits. It is a great mistake for mankind to think that this life is the only one we have. In fact, we live on, and should make sure the actions we take in the present will build the type of future we desire. All should now work toward earning a role in the coming good times.
